About the Camp

A Week on the
Point Breaks

Two guided surf sessions a day, coached by ISA-certified instructors who have been surfing these breaks their whole lives. Mornings are usually offshore and glassy; afternoons are for video review, theory or a second session if the swell holds.

Between sessions the camp is yours — rooftop terraces, the village souk, hammam, and a short taxi to the argan valleys if you want a day off the board.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Taghazout surf camp include?
Your accommodation, coaching with certified instructors, board and wetsuit for the whole stay, daily breakfast, airport transfer and video analysis of your sessions. Prices start at €320 per person.
What are my accommodation options?
A shared hostel dorm, a private room in a riad, or a superior room in a hotel. The price changes with the room, not with the coaching — everyone gets the same time in the water.
How long are the camps?
Five, seven, ten or fourteen days. Seven is the most popular and the one most people should book: long enough to progress properly, short enough for a normal week off work.
What does a typical day look like?
Breakfast, a check of the forecast, then a morning session at whichever spot suits the group. Lunch and rest through the middle of the day, a second session in the afternoon, video review in the evening. The timings shift with the tide.
Is the airport transfer included?
Yes, from Agadir Al Massira (AGA), about 30 minutes away. Send us your flight numbers once they are booked so we can time the pickup.
Will I surf the point breaks?
Only if your level suits them. Anchor Point and the other points are crowded, competitive and rocky; your coaching sessions run on the beach breaks. Improvers who are ready get taken to the points as conditions allow.
Do solo travellers have to share a room?
Only if you want the cheapest price. The shared dorm is the budget option and the fastest way into the group, but the riad and hotel rooms are private — tell us when you book and we will quote whichever you prefer for your dates.
What is the best month for the Taghazout camp?
October to April for the most consistent swell, with late October and early March giving you that swell without the peak-season crowds. Summer camps are gentler and better suited to complete beginners.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. Boards and wetsuits are provided for the whole stay and changed as your level progresses — you will likely start on a foam board and move down in volume during the week.
What is not included?
Flights, travel insurance, lunches and dinners beyond what your package states, and personal expenses. We list the inclusions on the product page so there are no surprises on arrival.
How much deposit do I pay?
30% confirms the booking, with free cancellation up to 14 days before your start date. Between 7 and 13 days you are refunded half; inside 7 days we will try to move your dates rather than refund.
Can a non-surfing partner come?
Yes — they book the accommodation without the coaching. Taghazout has plenty going on out of the water, and Paradise Valley, Agadir and the souks are all easy day trips.
