Choosing a trip

What's included, what isn't, and why we list both

Publishing the exclusions is a trust move most camps will not copy. Here is exactly what each of our camps covers.

"All inclusive" is the least informative phrase in the surf camp industry. It can mean full board and airport transfers, or it can mean breakfast and a wetsuit.

So rather than use it, here is exactly what each of our camps covers — and, more usefully, what it does not.

Essaouira surf camp

Included: 8, 10 or 12 hours of coaching depending on the camp length. A certified instructor. Your room in a traditional riad about seven minutes from the beach, for 3, 5 or 7 nights. Daily breakfast. Wetsuits and surfboards for the whole stay. Free photos of your sessions.

Not included: Lunch and dinner. Room service. Personal expenses. Airport transfers.

That last one matters, so we say it plainly. Essaouira Mogador is fifteen minutes from the riad and easy to sort on arrival; from Marrakech it is a two-and-a-half hour road transfer we can arrange at cost. Just do not assume it is in the price.

Essaouira kitesurf camp

Included: Everything above, plus a team dinner on the final day, and the equipment list becomes kites, bars, boards, wetsuits, helmets and impact vests. Coaching is IKO-certified.

Not included: The same list — lunches, other dinners, personal expenses, airport transfers.

Dakhla kitesurf camp — three different answers

This is where "included" genuinely changes depending on what you book.

Lagoon camp — 10 hours of kitesurfing, accommodation on the lagoon shore, and all meals, including evening barbecues. This is the only one of our packages with full board.

Private apartment — 9 hours of kitesurfing, a private apartment with a fully equipped kitchen instead of meals, and airport transfers included.

Hotel — 9 hours of kitesurfing, daily breakfast, a welcome dinner, and airport transfers included.

All three include the full equipment set, IKO certification and free lagoon access outside your lesson hours.

Not included on any of them: flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, and any meal not listed above.

Taghazout and Tamraght surf camps

Included: Accommodation in your chosen room type, certified coaching, board and wetsuit throughout, breakfast, airport transfer from Agadir, and video analysis of your sessions. Tamraght also includes dinner.

Not included: Lunches, drinks, personal expenses, and dinner in Taghazout.

Never included, anywhere

Flights. Travel insurance. Visas where they apply. Anything you buy for yourself.

On travel insurance specifically: check that your policy actually covers the sport. Many standard policies exclude kitesurfing unless you add an adventure-sports upgrade, and some will not cover you at all if the sport is the main purpose of the trip.

Why publish the exclusions at all

Because the disappointment in a camp review is almost never about the waves. It is about somebody who expected dinner, or a transfer, or a private bathroom, and found out on arrival.

We would rather lose a booking to a clear list than win one and have you arrive expecting something we do not provide.

If anything above is unclear for your specific dates, message us before you pay a deposit. We will put it in writing.
